Gauges
27 January, 2006 | Dwyer Omega (Aust) Pty Ltd
The series SG stainless steel gauges have dual psi/kPa scales and are available in 2½ and 4" dial sizes. Units are designed with 304 SS housings and either brass wetted parts or 316 SS wetted parts for good chemical compatibility. A wide selection of ranges is available, from full vacuum to 100,000 kPa. These durable gauges can withstand ambient temperatures up to 65°C and process temperatures up to 270°C. The gauges are easily liquid-filled in the field without the need for a separate kit.
Solvent recovery system
27 January, 2006 | The Novasys Group Pty Ltd
OFRU Recycling from Babenhausen/Germany has introduced a small solvent recovery system.
XRF analysis reference standards
26 January, 2006 | Graham B Jackson Pty Ltd
European Community (EC) directives have defined specific limits for heavy metals in plastic. Sets of PE and PVC Reference Materials have been designed for screening heavy metals to check compliance of these limits.
Polymer system
26 January, 2006 | Acromet (Aust) Pty Ltd
Acromet has released a range of fully automated and portable Polymer systems that can be used in water and wastewater applications where flocculation is required. Both liquid and powder systems are available.
ISC Signal Isolator
26 January, 2006 | Innovec Controls Pty Ltd
The ISC Signal Isolator is a single channel universal isolating transmitter providing true three-way galvanic isolation up to 2000 VRMS. The input signal is isolated from the output by a microprocessor controller optocoupler. The standard instrument accepts a 4-20 mA and 0-10 VDC input signal and produces a scaleable 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC output signal with an accuracy of 0.1%. Final calibration is achieved using the front of instrument accessible 15 turn zero and span potentiometers.
Microbe DIY test kit
20 December, 2005 | Melaklean Cleaner Air Products
The Melaklean Cleaner Air Products microbial test DIY kit can be used on process water, drinking water, waste water or recycled water, and gives an answer in 24 hours.
Contacting conductivity sensors
19 December, 2005 | AMS Instrumentation & Calibration Pty Ltd
BAT Contacting Electrode Conductivity Sensors are offered in a range of temperature, pressure, chemical compatibility and installation configurations.
Mixing solution
19 December, 2005
Pulsair is a technology that delivers an efficient, cost-effective, low-shear method of mixing. The system injects a powerful pulse of compressed air (or gas) into the vessel in a way that creates a vertical circular mixing motion and the contents of the tank are quickly blended into a uniform mix. The mixture can be held in suspension with sequentially-timed pulses that require little expense of energy.
Filtration system
19 December, 2005 | Interpath Services Pty Ltd
The Nalgene MF75 Filter Units and Bottle Top Filters incorporate the sterilisation-grade Pall Supor machV membrane. The membranes are composed of polyethersulfone (PES), the same material used for processing biological and pharmaceutical samples for drug discovery and basic research.
Activated sludge respirometer
19 December, 2005 | The Novasys Group Pty Ltd
The latest version of the Strathkelvin Strathtox respirometer can tell users quickly, simply and clearly when the bacteria should be fed less, aerated less and loaded more in an activated sludge or IDEA treatment plant. This is done by measuring their actual respiration rate.
MicroLogix 1100 microcontroller
19 December, 2005 | Rockwell Automation Australia
The Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1100 controller is a microcontroller complete with online editing functionality. The controller allows program modifications without interrupting operation.
Mobile waste baler
19 December, 2005 | ITs Green
Developed by Rowland & Associates, for baling of municipal waste, the fully auto-tie Godswill mobile baler system can be placed in line with a mobile waste shredder, ripper or bag opener, optical sort systems or other mechanical sort systems, mobile in-feed conveyors and auto-bale wrappers.
Drive mounting system
19 December, 2005 | SEW-Eurodrive Pty Ltd
The TorqLOC keyless hollow shaft drive mounting system was originally available for gear sizes of 37 to 97, the range now accommodates parallel shaft helical and helical-bevel gear sizes up to 107. This allows the mounting system to be used for applications with output torque requirements of up to 8000 Nm - nearly double the driving torque supported by the original range.
Waste management housing
19 December, 2005 | Reynolds Engineering Services
The Reynolds Engineering Services Waste Management Housing has been designed to address problems associated with disposal of oil cans which still contain small quantities of oil. It facilitates the separation of general rubbish and the correct disposal of not-required oil, oil residue and empty oil cans in a clean and safe manner. The main collected waste uses standard 120 L Sulo wheeled garbage bins, waste oil is collected in the integrated 70 L oil tank.
Waste reduction shredder
19 December, 2005 | Brentwood Recycling Systems
Brentwood Recycling Systems has introduced the M&J Industries range of fixed and mobile shredders. The range starts at 110 kW with its 2000 series single shaft unit capable of 55 tph of household waste shredded, up to 2 x 200 kW hydraulic driven 6000 series capable of up to 150 tph of household waste. The machines include single and double shaft arrangement, and use hydraulic drive configuration with cutter style of forward and reverse continued operating function, which performs a shredding, breaking and cutting function in one process. This operation gives constant distribution of the waste material and the design of the aggressive cutting knives reduces the product in both rotation directions. These features reduce wear of the machines and increase production throughput.
