Sludge and viscous products heat exchanger

Teralba has expanded its range of Dimpleflo Monotube Heat Exchangers to include an (8") 200 mm inner tube.

The 8" unit will enable chemical, pharmaceutical and wastewater industries to heat or cool products and recovery energy at flow rates of 200,000 kg/h.

This new larger unit incorporates all the traditional features including: Dimpleflo technology that induces turbulence into the flowpath of both primary and secondary fluids, thus increasing heat transfer coefficients; Dimpletube inhibits laminar flow, thereby providing homogenous heat transfer; and Dimples increase the hoop strength of the tube, providing higher design pressures.

Larger cross section heat exchangers provide industry with the opportunity to use smaller pumps as pressure drops through the heat exchangers are reduced.

The new unit completes the range of Australian-made heat exchangers from 6 mm (½ ") units, to the 51 (2"), 76 (3") and 101 mm (4") units, through to the larger 152 mm (6") unit.

In addition, the new units enable processing of solids up to 175 mm dia.
