The large Elephants Foot 2.25 m3 bailer can bale cartons and plastics with minimum effort and labour time. The most labour-intensive job is tying and ejecting bales. It takes the same time to tie a 100 kg block, 10 to a tonne as a 400 kg one, 3 to a tonne.

3D modelling tool for wastewater plant

22 September, 2006 | Kellogg Brown & Root Pty Ltd

Optioneer is a 3D modelling software tool that allows users to 'virtually' design, configure and automatically cost multiple options for a water or wastewater treatment plant at the concept design phase. It can produce process flow diagrams (PFDs) on screen using template icons for more than 100 pieces of plant and equipment. Smart data associated with the PFD icons automatically convey dimensions and shape to the 3D images, and each piece of equipment can be 'dragged' and located into the 3D environment. The process of cutting 3D shapes and sizes into the 3D topography is automatic, as is the calculation of cut and fill volumes for preliminary construction and final trim earthworks surfaces.

Photometer for water analysis

22 September, 2006 | Palintest Ltd

Photometer 7500 is a portable photometer for water analysis. It replaces the 7000, which is used in the water utility industry and in industrial pollution monitoring.

The kit is easy to use and provides test results in 24 hours. The test kit is suitable for aerobic bacteria and can show presence of Coliform, E.coli, Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Campylobacter, Listeria, Legionella and other species.

Sewer technology

22 September, 2006 | Becker Pumps Australia

Becker products are used in the construction of vacuum sewer collection systems. They can be used as an alternative to gravity systems as they do not rely on the natural gradient for the transportation of sewerage. They offer an odour-free environment, with the ability to transport effluent uphill, and use less water for flushing.

Remote terminal unit

22 September, 2006 | Emerson

ControlWave Expresss RTU for remote measurement and control applications combines the automation technologies and concepts into a hybrid system suited to meet the remote application requirements of the energy, water and wastewater industries. Some SCADA applications particularly suited to the small I/O point count are water pump, tank, well and reservoir control, wastewater lift station and stormwater monitoring, and natural gas well, storage and plunger lift control.

Current to pressure transducer

21 September, 2006 | Dwyer Omega (Aust) Pty Ltd

The series 2700 current to pressure transducer from WE Anderson is enclosed in a compact IP65 weatherproof FM and CSA intrinsically safe housing. Units have input and output ports on both the front and the back, allowing for versatile plumbing. Designed for remote or panel mounting, optional accessories include DIN rail or pipe mounting kits.
