Ecohouse is a resource recovery facility in Bellingen, a small regional shire on the north coast of NSW.

The facility diverts valuable, reusable and recyclable materials from the waste stream, translating into a substantial 20% reduction of landfill. This was achieved through developing a new standard of reuse.

Its philosophy is to reuse everything possible (not just everything profitable) and to recover the highest value from salvaged materials.

The facility is good at value-adding discarded materials, employing experts to assess, check and repair whitegoods, electrical and gas appliances, bicycles, lawnmowers, antiques, old wares and furniture. All goods are cleaned, priced and well presented.
