Pulsar Sludge Finder 2 sludge level measurement

31 May, 2010 | Bintech Systems Pty Ltd

Pulsar’s Sludge Finder 2 accurately measures interface levels in primary or secondary settlement tanks and SBR systems. Operating ultrasonically through liquid, the system uses echo processing algorithms to identify the sludge interface level using digital echo processing techniques.

Schott tubing for solar

31 May, 2010 | SCHOTT Australia Pty Ltd

Schott Tubing is a key component within the rapidly growing market of concentrated solar power (CSP). The tubing is used within the infrastructure of a parabolic trough power plant. In order to achieve the necessary temperatures, solar radiation is concentrated in parabolic trough arrays. These troughs are more than 400 m in length and are made of parabolically shaped mirror segments. The troughs track the sun over the course of the day and focus the solar radiation along the focal point of the mirrors onto specially coated, evacuated receiver tubes that convert solar radiation into heat. A heat transfer fluid, which is circulating through the receiver, is heated up to 400°C and then used to generate steam.

Dwyer Series TE Duct and Immersion Temperature Sensor

31 May, 2010 | Dwyer Omega (Aust) Pty Ltd

The Series TE Duct and Immersion Temperature Sensor can be used to monitor air or water temperature throughout a building management system or an air handler unit. Flanged duct sensors monitor the supply or return air and provide a thermistor or RTD output to the digital controller. Immersion sensors, which are supplied with compression fittings, are typically used to monitor the hot or chilled water lines throughout a building. Thermowells are recommended, but not required, on the immersion sensors.

Pelican Pack and Take ‘n Go oil absorbent recycling spill packs

31 May, 2010 | Revolution Materials

The Pelican Pack and Pelican Take ‘n Go are mobile and wall-mounted stations for cleaning up liquid spills. The cotton-based Fibercan absorbs oils, hydrocarbons (eg, petrol, kerosene) and water-based liquids, but using up to eight times less absorbent material than traditional media. Any excess material is separated out and kept for re-use.
