UniSort sorting equipment makes significant increases in capacity possible

Since 2004, Brantner Walters has operated an automated recyclable materials sorting plant in Wölbling, Austria. In May 2012, a pre-sorting facility was put into operation at the facility in order to effectively respond to growing throughput and increasing requirements for product quality.


Biosolids drying plant officially opened

On 16 January, the Victorian Minister for Water, the Hon Peter Walsh MLA, officially opened the $77 million biosolids thermal drying facility at the Black Rock environmental precinct in Connewarre - the largest biosolids drying plant of its type in the Southern Hemisphere.

Technology delivers high-value chemicals from waste cellulose

Following six years of development, Victorian chemical manufacturer Circa Group Pty Ltd has created a technology called Furacell that recycles cellulose waste using a self-contained (closed-loop), energy-efficient process that produces a chemical called Levoglucosenone (LGN), as well as water and phosphate-bearing charcoal with commercial potential as a carbon dioxide sequestering soil conditioner.

Paste technology can be used to efficiently recover water from tailing, making it a sustainable solution for tailing treament, especially in dry regions. Recycling hygiene waste cuts costs and carbon emissions

Anglican Retirement Villages (ARV) has signed a letter of intent with recycling company Relivit. This measure will help bring Relivit’s recycling process to Australia. ARV will then be able to tackle its largest and most expensive waste stream - continence pads - helping ARV reach its target of recycling 80% of its waste by 2014.
