Document management infrastructure
Energex partnered with Fuji Xerox Global Services (FXGS) in 2003 to streamline the company’s document management infrastructure. It has since achieved a 23% cost reduction by consolidating its existing printer fleet and introducing more efficient multifunction devices. It has also reduced the number of devices it relies on by almost 30%, despite the company’s strong growth.
By launching a print improvement strategy in partnership with FXGS, Energex has also adopted a more sustainable approach to its document practices, increasing print efficiency while reducing paper wastage. The Fuji Xerox Australia carbon calculator is used to estimate the energy consumption of document infrastructure. The carbon footprint and energy usage of its multifunction printing devices has been lowered by 10% over a five-year period. Its next goal is to cut its overall printing by 10% as part of a new carbon management plan.
