Drop Zone free drop-off for e-waste

SITA Australia has partnered with the Supply Chain arm of DHL in Australia to reduce the amount of television and computer waste going to landfill and increase the recovery of resources. The program also aims to provide greater recycling options and a free-of-charge solution for the community.

PET ‘bottle to bottle’ recycling unit

The France Plastiques Recyclage (FPR) - a joint venture for SITA France, a Suez Environment subsidiary, and the Paprec Group - has opened its first PET bottle recycling unit in Limay, France. At the successful completion of the 40-million-euro project, the plant will be able to recycle 40,000 tonnes of bottles per year, which will be directly usable, in granulate form, in the manufacture of new bottles or food product containers.

SITA Environmental Solutions’ Advanced Waste Treatment (SAWT) plant at Elizabeth Drive, Kemps Creek, NSW, was officially opened in March. The plant will be receiving waste from Liverpool and Penrith residents.
