Water utilities invest in Smart WaterMark
Water utilities are investing in Smart WaterMark, Australia’s water conservation label, through a Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) subscription program.
The three-year investment will help Smart WaterMark identify and certify new water-efficient technologies and promote best practice in water conservation. Australia’s urban water utilities previously identified the importance of customers receiving independent information on water efficiency through programs such as Smart WaterMark in the 2013 WSAA position paper ‘Using Water Wisely’.
To date, 16 utilities across Australia have pledged a total $100,000 per annum to support the not-for-profit program.
