Sponsorship raises awareness
Grundfos Pumps Australia is sponsoring the ‘Droughtbusters’ entrant in this years 2008 SA Variety Bash. The Bash is an 8-day drive through country South Australia and is designed to reward the teams for their efforts during the year in fundraising for Variety — The Children’s Charity.
The team is made up of Darren Ferber, Kelly Mitchell and Kevin Archer, and hopes to raise awareness of the everyday struggles of communities living through the worst of the ongoing drought conditions.
The car, a Holden HR Premier 1967 sedan, has been adorned with a Grundfos SQFlex Solar Panel, which under normal circumstances would be used to generate power to run a Grundfos SQ Flex Solar pump.
The pumping systems allow for reliable water supply to remote areas, where electricity is unavailable.
