AWS ANT biohazardous waste management system

Friday, 18 November, 2016 | Supplied by: AWS Clinical Waste

The AWS ANT is an ISO certified biohazardous waste treatment system. It features total automation and full enclosure, thereby offering complete infection control. It is also capable of interfacing with hospital AGV systems.

Intended to replace incineration, the product uses waste heat from on-site hospital central energy facilities (cogeneration and trigeneration), reducing treatment emissions. It is designed for on-site installation, thereby eliminating untreated biohazardous waste transport and associated emissions.

Features include: an automatic bin feed with storage, empty, wash, disinfect and return; an automatic steriliser door and door seal vacuum; an automatic loading robot and drawer; an ISO17025 certified agitate and turbo air biohazardous waste treatment process; automation controls including online monitoring and cloud recording; and a post-treatment collapse vacuum to remove vapour.
