As we bid farewell to 2023, a year marked by historic milestones in Australia’s renewable energy landscape, there’s much to celebrate on our journey towards a sustainable future.

Australia has achieved an unprecedented leap in renewable energy with a 32 GW government investment, while the independent Body for the Australian Smart Energy Industry, the Smart Energy Council, continues to lead transformational initiatives, ensuring economic growth and confidence nationwide.

As we reflect on 2023’s successes, the Smart Energy Council has much to celebrate including overturning the SolarStopper proposal, International Delegations, strengthening global ties in Smart Energy, actively engaging in significant investments for Pacific climate adaptation, including contributions to the Green Climate Fund and the new Pacific Resilience Facility and most recently, advocating for climate action at COP28.

Meanwhile, Smart Energy Queensland 2023 made history as the largest renewables expo in the state, featuring unprecedented turnout and cutting-edge discussions. Acting Premier Steven Miles and industry leaders explored topics from hydrogen cars to electric ferries.

Smart Energy 2024

Building on these successes, the Smart Energy Council cordially invites everyone with a stake in the renewable energy industry to join them in early March 2024 in Sydney to learn more about Australia’s journey toward a renewable energy generation and exporting superpower.

Smart Energy 2024 is a FREE event offering cutting-edge technologies, engaging sessions with 150+ expert speakers, and unparalleled networking opportunities with an expected attendance of over 10,000 delegates.

Never has it been so urgent to transition to a decarbonised energy network. We need to tackle this head on to avoid the worst consequences amid dire warnings of ‘climate collapse’ being echoed around the world.

And yes we do have the solutions. Right now. Right in front of us. In the halls of the 2024 Smart Energy Show delegates and visitors, policy makers and cleantech investors among them, will be able to hear and see the transition in action.
