Waste management consulting service
Great Forest Australia is providing business and government organisations with waste management consultancy services that can reduce environmental impacts and operational costs.
The approach used consists of three stages: audit and report, implementation, and monitoring and reporting.
The company firstly conducts a detailed evaluation of all solid waste and recyclable material being produced by a facility, an assessment of various waste types and their sources, a financial analysis of current and expected waste costs, and interviews with facility staff and occupants. The ensuing report recommends a range of practical reduction, re-use and recycling measures for minimising waste management costs.
It then implements the report's recommendations in collaboration with the facility's occupants, cleaning/maintenance staff, and waste and recycling companies. The inclusive approach ensures that all key stakeholders have input into the process and know their roles and responsibilities. At the conclusion of this phase, they re-measure waste volumes and negotiate a reduced fee - claimed to be generally between 20-50% - with the waste contractor. Finally, Great Forest Australia provides an ongoing auditing, monitoring and reporting program to ensure continuous performance improvement and control of waste management costs.
