Wednesday, 07 January, 2015

The Australian Water Association (AWA) has announced the Water Innovation Forum - a platform to share water innovation across the water, construction, food and beverage, and agricultural industries and showcase these solutions to other sectors.

To be held from 18-19 March at Royal Randwick Sydney, the event will feature a conference program, exhibition, training workshop and networking opportunities through formal business matching meetings, social events and pitch sessions. The conference will feature leading experts on innovative solutions for water-smart cities and agricultural and food manufacturing, disruptive technology, financing the innovation value chain and global water innovation case studies.

Chief Scientist Professor Ian Chubb will highlight Australia’s position from the 2014 report ‘Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics: Australia’s Future’ and what steps should be taken to create a strong and sustainable drive for innovation. He will be joined by Candice Quartermain, Program Director at Circular Economy Australia; Andrew Grant, General Manager at Goldenfields Water County Council; Douglas McNicoll, R&D Manager at Australian Meat Processor Corporation; and Nirvashnee Seetal, Manager Water Technologies Demonstration Program at the SA Water Research Commission.

By identifying needs and future challenges, the event will encourage collaboration and the development of new technologies to manage our water resources efficiently. For more information and to register, visit http://www.awa.asn.au/innovationforum15/.
