Water quality monitoring

The YSI model 600XL-V2 and 600XLM-V2 water quality sondes have a 40 mm diameter and are suitable for groundwater monitoring, shallow water applications and spot checking routines due to their lightweight and compact design.

The sondes offer conductivity, temperature and pH/ORP field-replaceable sensors in addition to an optional depth sensor and an optical port that users can configure with any of the following YSI optical sensors: ROX optical dissolved oxygen; turbidity; chlorophyll; blue-green algae (marine or freshwater); and Rhodamine WT dye.

All optical sensors include an anti-fouling wiper that significantly deters the impacts of biofouling - thus prolonging deployment times - as well as an improved mechanical design to increase durability, corrosion resistance and allow for preventive maintenance.

The 600XL-V2 is powered by a YSI 650 MDS handheld display/logger, or from third-party devices such as data loggers, etc. The 600XLM-V2 features internal memory and battery chamber for standard AA sized batteries.
