Dwyer Instruments Series UTC ultrasonic liquid transmitter controller and Model UTS ultrasonic liquid transmitter sensor

Dwyer Instruments has released its Series UTC ultrasonic liquid transmitter controller and Model UTS ultrasonic liquid transmitter sensor.

The Series UTC claims to provide reliable, accurate, non-contact measurement of liquid level and open channel flow even under extremely harsh conditions. It overcomes vapours, agitators or light foam, with no moving parts to wear or jam. It supports a range of process monitoring and storage level measurement applications, such as high process tanks and large storage vessels.

The product has a six-digit LCD and a simple menu structure with multiple indications, making programming simple. Its dual part system allows for the control unit to be located up to 200 m away from the Model UTS sensor, which is made to accompany the controller. Installation is simple with the included mounting bracket.

The series also supports the Modbus RTU communication protocol and offers RS485 or RS232 and 4-20 mA communications. Featuring five independent SPDT relays and embedded firmware for volume and flow totalisation, the series is suitable for liquid level and open channel flow applications.
