The PG Instruments range of atomic absorption spectrophotometers includes the PGI 990 which is capable of flame only, graphite furnace only or combined modes, with automatic interchange between modes. Also automatically driven are the eight-lamp turret, burner height, gas flow rate adjustment, beam splitter positioning and switchover of spectral bandwidth (five choices).

The software also features automatic wavelength scanning, peak height adjustment and also automatic AA and BG energy balance.

These instruments are equally at home in a QC or R&D laboratory, as they can be configured as simply or as extensively as the client wishes.

The software package contains almost every feature useful for spectrophotometric measurements. Alternatively, they can be configured for the simple 'one click' operation required in QC applications.
