Friday, 31 January, 2014

TASK JV, a joint venture between Sinclair Knight Merz (a part of Jacobs Engineering Group) and Thiess, has signed an alliance contract with Water Corporation of Western Australia to design, construct and commission the East Rockingham Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) near Perth.

Under the terms of the $82 million contract, TASK JV is working in an integrated team with Water Corporation to deliver the greenfield project, which is being designed to meet future demand in Perth’s growing south-west corridor. The site of the East Rockingham WWTP is in an industrial area with an environmental buffer zone.

“The TASK JV combines Thiess’s construction, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation experience with our industry-leading wastewater treatment design and commissioning capability,” said Jacobs Executive Vice President Santo Rizzuto. “We look forward to working closely with Water Corporation to help them meet their goals for the East Rockingham WWTP.”

Construction is expected to be completed by December 2015.
