The 261 Compact Pressure Transmitter series combines intelligent electronics with a compact and robust stainless steel housing.

The series possesses FDA filling fluids approval and is suitable for food processing applications due to maintenance-free sensors and a standard 316 stainless steel body. Possessing high corrosion resistance, the series can be used in a wide variety of process and ambient conditions. Flush diaphragms eliminate the issue of dead space resulting in increased performance and safety.

A wide choice of connections including threaded, flange and hygienic ensures high flexibility to serve demanding applications within the food and beverage, waste/wastewater, power, pulp and paper, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Remote seals are also available to meet high temperature requirements.

The pressure transmitter possesses draft and high pressure ranges for gauges and absolute measurement. Ease of operation and set-up is provided by a user-friendly display which allows simple and intuitive operation.

The transmitter can interface with ABB's device management software solution. This asset master package allows configuration, diagnostic support and asset management of the transmitter. The transmitter provides local zero and span adjustments without the requirement for a local display.

Other key features include a base accuracy of 0.15% of calibrated span and a standard 4-20 mA output with HART communication. The transmitter also meets various national and international approvals such as EHEDG, SCA, FM and ATEX.
