Philips Electronics has introduced a consumer logo for its environmentally friendly consumer product range "“ The Philips Green Tick.
This logo allows users to easily identify products that have significantly better energy efficiency than the nearest competitor products in the same category as well as having other environmental benefits such as reduced packaging materials and the use of flame-retardant materials.
The Philips Green Tick logo only applies to Green Flagship products in the Consumer Electronics portfolio, all of which are annually certified by external auditors.
The first product in Australia to include the Green Tick logo is the HTS8100, Philips' SoundBar with AmbiSound to be released in June. Philips Australia will continue to test its 2007 range of home entertainment products to determine which products will fit the Green Tick criteria.
