Peter Smith appointed to SLR Consulting
SLR Consulting has announced the appointment of Peter Smith as technical director in the Environmental Management, Planning and Approvals team, based at the environmental consultancy’s Brisbane office.
Smith has been responsible for managing and overseeing environmental management matters on a wide range of mining, industrial and power and energy projects for over 20 years within the public and private sectors. He said his aim at SLR will be to “continue to deliver interesting projects that make a positive and enduring impact on society”.
Smith has recently worked with BHP Billiton and was responsible for the delivery of a program of environmental projects under the company’s Environmental Program Management Implementation Strategy (EPMIS). He has presented at the recent Resources Export Infrastructure Conference, Permit Approvals Conference and various waste and industry events.
