New Market Leader – Water for GHD in Australia
Professional services company GHD has announced the appointment of Rod Naylor as its new Market Leader – Water in Australia, commencing in November.
GHD has been at the forefront of the water industry for the past 90 years, addressing every element of the water cycle — from catchment to tap — for urban, rural and industrial applications. The company has developed strengths in desalination, nutrient removal (including membrane bioreactors) and integrated water management (including recycled water).
Naylor brings more than 30 years’ experience in the local and international water and environmental markets, having worked in a number of roles across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US. Most recently, he has held national and global leadership roles spanning capital project business cases through to construction, alliance project governance and utility performance improvement programs.
In addition to his vast experience, Naylor is a chartered engineer with the Engineering Council UK and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is actively involved with the Australian Water Association, Water Services Association of Australia and Infrastructure Partnerships Australia.
“With his wide range of technical and business development experience, I’m confident Rod will play a key role in extending GHD’s focus on client service in the water industry,” said Sonia Adams, GHD’s Market Development Leader – Australia. “Rod will also work with our other sector leaders to respond to demand for innovative solutions around water management in mining and water security in the agriculture sector.”
“I am thrilled to be joining GHD, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with a market-leading team to provide tailored solutions for existing clients, while developing relationships with new partners across the Australian water sector,” said Naylor.
