Melbourne welcomes All-Energy Australia and Waste Expo Australia
Sustainability experts got the best of best worlds at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre this week, with the All-Energy Australia and Waste Expo Australia conferences running concurrently from 11–12 October.
All-Energy Australia kicked off its six-stream conference program with an opening plenary, which featured a ministerial welcome by Victorian Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change Lily D’Ambrosio. Day one also featured a stream dedicated to sustainable transport and electric vehicles, which was a new addition to the 2017 event.
Representatives from leading energy companies such as Tesla Energy, KPMG and AGL shared exclusive insights and projections on how to tackle the future on the energy sector, while close to 200 exhibitors used the event to showcase their latest products. ABB Australia unveiled the 100 and 130 kW string inverter, designed for large-scale commercial and industrial PV installations. Flex’s new Power Play home solar battery storage systems attracted regular foot traffic, as did Canadian Solar Australia’s KuPower, KuDymond and KuMax modules.
Meanwhile, Waste Expo Australia featured exciting product demonstrations and enlightening sessions from some of the industry’s most renowned experts. Over 14 sessions were held across the Waste Summit conference and Waste Evolution seminar series, the latter of which showcases new technologies, products and processes set to change waste management and resource recovery in Australia. Over 70 exhibitors attended the show, with Lincom Group using the event to launch its new trommel screen and Pacific Materials Handling discussing its extensive range of materials handling products.
