Market analysis summaries for recovering resources

Friday, 24 October, 2014

Between 2013 and 2014, Sustainability Victoria commissioned a series of market analysis reports covering a variety of waste materials identified as priorities for market development. The authority has now released summaries of these reports on its website.

The summaries provide an overview of the market conditions, barriers and opportunities for each of the materials in question. These include brick, stone and concrete, flexible plastics, glass, organics, refuse-derived fuels, shredder floc, timber and end-of-life tyres.

The summaries accompany the recently released Discussion Paper on the Victorian Market Development Strategy for Recovered Resources. The discussion paper is intended to guide stakeholders to provide feedback to inform the draft strategy for resource recovery.
