Landcare Week

Landcare Week from 7-13 September is designed to celebrate Landcare groups and their projects. One event being organised is called the Source to Sea which involves Landcare members, ambassadors and sponsors kayaking down the Hawkesbury and Parramatta rivers and meeting with Landcare Groups working along the waterways.
The Hawkesbury team will set off on Saturday 5 September from Warragamba Dam before winding through Penrith, Richmond and Wisemans Ferry and eventually finishing up at Palm Beach on Wednesday 9 September.
The Parramatta Team will set off on a three-day paddle starting from Silverwater on Thursday 10 September which will pass through Rhodes, Gladesville, Lane Cove, East Ryde and Greenwich before completing a circuit of Middle Harbour on Saturday 12 September.
