Energy Action offers government funding for businesses
Energy management company Energy Action is offering government funding opportunities to new and existing eligible business clients in NSW to assist them in achieving significant energy savings and efficiencies.
Through Action Matters for Business, an initiative of the NSW Government administered by the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH), Energy Action can facilitate funding towards 50% of an energy audit or review, with the provision of up to $10,000 towards expert consultancy to assist with the implementation of identified opportunities. The scheme also has a provision for funding post-implementation to ensure that outcomes are achieved.
In order to be eligible for this funding, applicable for existing (not greenfield) sites located in NSW, businesses must have a site overall energy spend of over $80,000 per annum. The project and associated funding must also include target technologies associated with electricity uses, with the exception of lighting.
“This funding provides a compelling opportunity for eligible participants to undertake a subsidised energy audit that may identify significant savings and efficiencies, and with ongoing support for implementation and monitoring,” said Energy Action Solutions Director Paul Cooper.
“I encourage any eligible business or organisation in NSW to talk to Energy Action about how they might take advantage of this opportunity while the early incentive for this funding is still available.”
