Range of COD analysers launched

Aqua Diagnostic’s PeCOD COD analysers are a technology for measuring COD (chemical oxygen demand).

They equal ‘Real-Time COD for Real-Time Savings’ by providing users with the economic benefits of real-time process control and environmental monitoring in industries involved in wastewater treatment, using coolant water or water feedstock or seawater in their manufacturing processes.

The COD analysers are available in three different models purpose designed for laboratory use, field portable analysis and online COD monitoring.

This revolutionary green technology does not require toxic chemicals — it uses photoelectrochemistry that facilitates fast (minutes), sensitive (sub-ppm) COD analysis from a broad range of industrial and natural samples including seawater.

The COD analysers are superior to other current COD techniques as:

  • Can determine COD in seawater matrices;
  • Typical analysis time is 5–10 minutes per sample;
  • Determination of COD to sub-ppm levels;
  • Uses no toxic or hazardous chemicals, requiring only an electrolyte solution for operation;
  • Can accurately analyse a broad range of organics from straight chain aliphatics, alcohols, halogenated hydrocarbons to benzene derivatives.
