Friday, 24 September, 2010 | Supplied by: Hurll Nu-Way Pty Ltd

The Aerzen Delta Hybrid rotary lobe compressor combines rotary lobe blower and screw compressor technologies. The unit has been designed for oil-free compression of air and neutral gases and finds application in varied industries, such as wastewater treatment plants, food and chemical industries, power generation plants and the pneumatic transport of powders.

The technological advantages of the product include: high energy efficiency and reduction of life-cycle costs; price performance ratio is said to be below the investment-, energy and maintenance costs for comparable turbo or screw compressors; energy savings are claimed to be up to 15% compared to conventional compressors; 3+3 twisted and 3+4 rotor profiles for low and higher pressures; and wide flow control range from 25 to 100% and high efficiency even at partial load.

Other features include: belt driven; robust bearing design (L10 of 60,000 operating hours even under maximum load); low noise levels without absorption material; space saving, ease of handling and reduction of maintenance costs; oil change intervals extended to 16,000 operating hours; automatic belt tension; and operation and maintenance access from the front.

The compressor has a differential pressure capability 1.5 bar and vacuum operation has been extended to -700 mbar. Flow ranges are from 110 to 4100 m3/h and 12 machine sizes are available.
