Yingli Solar appoints new managing director for Oceania
Solar PV module manufacturer Yingli Green Energy, known as Yingli Solar, has appointed Daman Cole to the role of managing director of its Australian, New Zealand and Pacific operations after a year at the company as commercial director.
Leon Zhao, director of international sales, said Cole has “made a significant contribution to the growth of Yingli Solar’s footprint in Australia over the last 12 months ... [working] closely with our distribution partners to communicate the quality and efficiency that sets Yingli Solar apart and to drive preference for our solar panels”.
Cole will continue to be responsible for setting the company’s strategy, building Yingli Solar’s business and managing and expanding its distribution partnerships. The company currently works with distribution and retail partners Solar 360, Zhenfa Australia, L&H Solar + Solutions (a subsidiary of L&H Group), EnviroGroup, Solgen Energy and Cablelogic.
