Energy Next announces cancellation
Energy Next has made the difficult decision to cancel its August event, which was due to run later this month.
In response to ongoing lockdowns across the country — with state border restrictions impacting exhibitors, sponsors and speakers — the proactive decision was made in the best interests of the community.
Energy Next has expressed concern for everyone impacted by COVID-19. While the event’s organisers were optimistic that Energy Next would run from 25–26 August 2021 as planned, further consultation with exhibitors, visitors and partners made it clear that the best option is to focus instead on delivering a successful launch event in 2022.
“We appreciate that this is disappointing news; however, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority and we remain guided by the expert advice of the government and public health authorities,” an Energy Next spokesperson said.
“We would like to thank everyone for the encouragement and support received during this challenging time.”
