Monday, 28 September, 2015

All-Energy Australia 2015 will feature a speech from Opposition Leader Bill Shorten when the clean energy event opens in Melbourne next week.

Shorten will deliver the Federal Ministerial Welcome as part of the Opening Plenary on 7 October. The State Ministerial Welcome will meanwhile be presented by Victorian Minister for Energy and Resources Liliana D’Ambrosio.

The Opening Plenary will also feature a C-level panel looking at the role of new technology on the sector. The panel will feature CEFC CEO Oliver Yates, Enphase Energy CEO Paul Nahi, DNV GL Regional Manager Asia Pacific, Energy & Renewables Advisory Mathias Steck, Redflow BDM Bruce Ebzery and Powershop Chief Executive Ben Burge.

In addition, the International Keynote will be presented by Volker Beckers, the former CEO of RWE nPower and current chairman of Albion Community Power. Beckers will deliver a keynote presentation on the transformation and creation of smarter energy markets.

All-Energy Australia 2015 has been organised by Reed Exhibitions Australia. The company’s executive director, John Gorton, said the state and federal presence at the event demonstrates its role in shaping future debate around Australia’s energy mix.

“[Shorten] will join a comprehensive program of speakers, case studies and exhibitors from around the world debating the latest clean energy generation and energy efficiency trends in the sector.”
