Waterfind launches Australian Water Tender

Monday, 12 May, 2014

Water market specialist Waterfind has launched the Australian Water Tender (AWT), a scheme which provides irrigators with access to an additional water supply. The water will be available in time for the 2014-15 season.

The initial stage of the tender has focused on attracting sellers. In less than two weeks, a large number of sellers submitted numerous packages of water ranging from 2 ML to in excess of 2000 ML, resulting in an additional 30,000 ML of water for trade. The next stage will focus on attracting both buyers and sellers.

“As an innovative and forward-thinking organisation, I am thrilled that we have been able to bring this unique opportunity to irrigators, which has resulted in a very positive response from both buyers and sellers,” said Waterfind CEO Tom Rooney.

“We know that this time of the year presents irrigators with challenges; in particular, ensuring that they are in a position to commence the next season with all their resources firmly in place. We hope that this initiative has provided comfort to irrigators that their needs are being heard and met.”

For your chance to place water, visit www.waterfind.com.au and register your interest. Interested irrigators should submit their expression of interest by 23 May.
