New Managing Director for Sydney Water
Sydney Water has appointed Kevin Young as its new Managing Director. Young will be working at Sydney Water’s award-winning head office in Parramatta.
For the last seven years Young had been Managing Director at Hunter Water Corporation.
As the Managing Director for one of Parramatta’s biggest employers, Young said his first day was off to a good start when he heard the news that Sydney Water’s contact centre was awarded three major awards at the NSW Australian Teleservices Association 2011 Academy Awards.
“One award was NSW Contact Centre of the Year (For call centres with between 50 and 120 employees) - a great result for the public sector,” Young said.
“These awards highlight how Sydney Water puts the customer first.”
Leading Australia’s largest urban water utility, Young is also the Chairman of the Water Services Association of Australia, which represents the nation’s water utilities.
An engineer by trade, Young also has a Masters in Business Administration. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Engineers and Australian Institute of Company Directors.
