Itron’s water technology selected by Sydney Water

Itron has announced that on 1 July 2012, water utility Sydney Water began the three-year-long installation of Itron’s high-efficiency meters to replace old meters that serve its residential and commercial customers in Sydney.

Sydney Water serves more than 4.6 million people, supplying about 500 billion L of water a year to homes and businesses. The reliable, high-efficiency Itron meters will help Sydney Water continue to meet rigorous national water standards.

“We are thrilled to partner with Sydney Water for the installation of Itron’s water meters,” said Sheena Trumble, Itron general manager, Australia.

“The introduction of our product will enable Sydney Water to take advantage of our innovative, automated and advanced metering solutions in the future.”
