Inner city sewerage infrastructure to be upgraded
A tender has been announced by Sydney Water for upgrading sections of the sewerage network in Surry Hills, Alexandria and Mascot.
Sydney Water Managing Director Kerry Schott said the current infrastructure has been in place since the 1890s and the improvements are necessary to ensure sewerage flows safely through the mains.
The work is expected to take 40 weeks. Sydney Water will provide further details to customers and the community should they be impacted by the work. Tender documentation is available on Sydney Water’s e-tender website.
