Grundfos Pumps takes over management responsibility of the DAB brand
Grundfos Pumps Pty Ltd (Australia) and Grundfos Pumps NZ Ltd (New Zealand) will be supporting and selling the DAB brand in Australia and New Zealand, effective retrospectively from 1 January 2013.
The DAB brand has been owned by the Grundfos Group for over 15 years and this change was seen a natural development with the aim to provide the highest level of sales and service support for the DAB product range in Australia and New Zealand.
The arrangement will allow Grundfos the opportunity to provide a two-tiered product and solution offering via both the Grundfos and DAB brands. It also further strengthens Grundfos’ position as a dominant pump player in the domestic, rural, agriculture and professional irrigation markets in Australia and New Zealand.
Steen Holm Jensen, Managing Director of Grundfos Pumps Pty Ltd, said of the arrangement, “We trust that our authorised dealer network will value this opportunity to work with two strong pump brands, and we look forward to working with them to provide additional value to this important market beyond what existing competitors and new niche players can provide.”
The operations of the existing DAB distributor, White International Pty Ltd, will not be affected. They will furthermore see benefits in the increased level of support provided to them by Grundfos, allowing them to build on the base they have established for DAB products.
