The Waste and Supervisory Process (WaSP) is used for taking care of tankered liquid waste. It allows users to receive and process any liquid waste efficiently and safely while collecting accurate volumetric data and other details for correct billing.

The control station is fully automated and provides for a safe and clean discharge from a tanker while taking care of volumetric measurement and allocation of account charges. Management of accounts and waste reception will assist operations and customer service.

It is a standalone unit that can also be linked to a larger network and billing system. For larger reception sites with multiple discharge lines, another WaSP variant exists (WaSP IIe) which can cope with control and monitoring of simultaneous discharges.

The system also has a web-based reporting system that provides a visualisation, reporting and customer billing option for the entire waste discharge management process.

In order to meet regulatory or non-regulatory reporting requirements, additional reports can be created to match local requirements.

Typical integration possibilities include: industry standard actuated valves and flow metering; industry standard process instrumentation (suspended solids, pH, temperature, etc); local plant (screens, holding tanks, package plant, etc); standard PLC and smaller switch gear; local SCADA and communication interfaces; and auto sampling equipment (optional — for waste analysis).

Product features and benefits include: authorised entry via non-contact proximity card/key fob/pre-paid smart card/keypad; modify individual login procedures; remote management of users/proximity cards/ key fobs; high brightness TFT colour display with user-friendly menus; full data archive and analysis capability; ‘out of hours’ facility disabling; test message/email alerts for condition reporting, etc; report and log the complete transaction process; GSM/GPRS (data enabled) communication options; remote diagnostics and maintenance; facility status monitoring; configuration and user database; remote fault reset; and remote operation capability.

Other features include: secure web-based portal providing 24/7 access; password access for tiered level visibility; query-based reporting features; contractor billing/invoice generation; revenue monitoring and analysis; and site maintenance records.
