The units are built with 12 m long tubing, therefore fewer bends are needed, resulting in a 30% beneficial saving. Increased performance due to its length and configuration has also provided benefits.
The technology provides highly induced heat transfer co-efficiencies. The heat exchangers are suitable for energy recovery and initial costs are claimed to be recovered in 12-18 months through energy saved in preheating the product or boiler feed water.
A further benefit is that the temperature of wastewater discharged from the unit to the sewer is below the EPA wastewater temperature requirements.
