Compact, expandable MBR for difficult environments
The EPCO MBR system is said to provide high performance, reliability and longevity at a low operating cost. The modular design is adaptable to different production requirements and suited to wastewater treatment applications.
The EPCO MBR has three basic platforms, 2030, 2060 and 2085, with capacity for municipal wastewater of 40, 70 and 100 m3/day respectively. With a smaller footprint than similar capacity systems, the design is easily expandable and allows for staged installation of the membrane package as production demand increases.
The unit is completely dry mount (not submerged), a true UF membrane, and features x-flow and optional CIP for increased serviceability. All of these features allow full automation and, with the addition of a SCADA infrastructure and appropriate HMI software, the system can allow for remote monitoring and operation.
Originally designed for grey and blackwater reclamation systems on shipping lines (the Queen Mary II has a set), the unit is equally at home in limited overhead spaces like building basement levels or as a major feature of an on-site re-use project. The design is said to be robust and compact, suitable for operation in difficult environments and utilises a high quality UF membrane.
