SULO Australia bins, containers and services

Thursday, 09 February, 2012 | Supplied by: Sulo MGB Australia Pty Ltd

Sulo Australia has launched a range of bins and containers, as well as a service concept.

The 360 L mobile garbage bin (MGB) is an option for local councils looking to increase their domestic recycling capacity while at the same time reducing landfill costs and complying with national waste reduction targets. It is suitable for improved kerbside collection of recyclables, better litter containment at events and parks, and for organics in leafy suburbs. The bin is compatible with existing side lift equipment used by local contractors and councils. It uses the footprint of the 240 L bin - its dimensions from the base up to and including the lift zone are very similar, allowing existing grab arms on side lifters to handle the bin in the same way as any 240 L bin.

The compact 60 L Retro style bin has an extendable handle and is designed for the growing number of medium- and high-density dwellings in inner-city areas where space is an issue and residents require an ‘urban bin’ for kerbside collection. It is claimed to be the smallest Australian-made MGB available in the market. It is suitable for a number of applications, including: food waste collection, commercial kitchens, offices, hospitality, battery disposal, glass collection, clinical waste and general storage.

The Steelybin has been developed to handle heavy-duty commercial waste and recycling needs. Its durable design and strong galvanised steel construction make it suitable for waste collection in public areas prone to high levels of vandalism. The four-wheel bin is available in 660 and 1100 L capacities and is fully compliant with the EN840 international standard. It can be configured with a variety of lid, lock, security, data collection and graphic options to suit different applications.

Sulo has also launched the morbel range of urban containers. The range aims to provide the market with a variety of public place collection containers including enclosures, litter bins and containment stands.

The company is planning to launch a range of recycling containers for the office or school. The compact Billi Box will be available in two sizes (27 and 39 L) with a variety of practical opening configurations for recycling, waste or organic collection. The Waste Watcher containers will be available in three sizes (60, 76 and 87 L) and, with the aid of an optional connector kit, will allow the creation and customisation of a user’s own recycling station.

Sulo has also introduced a service concept called ‘Whole of Life Solutions’, which covers bin fleet planning, assembly and distribution, fleet maintenance and recycling. The service allows Sulo to work in partnership with its customers to develop customised solutions for any or all aspects of their bin fleet management, regardless of size and complexity.
