Reclassifying mufflers

Exair's Reclassifying Mufflers can be installed directly into the exhaust port of cylinders, valves and other air-powered equipment to reduce work-area noise and harmful oil mist. They are easy to retrofit to new and existing installations.

Reclassifying Mufflers provide a noise reduction up to 35 dBA to help companies meet the EU noise directive (86/188/EEC) and OSHA standard 29 CFR-1910.95 requiring safe noise levels below 90 dBA. The wrap design of the removable element eliminates oil-mist contamination of workers' breathing air, keeping exposure well below the 4.32 ppm required by OSHA standard 29 CFR 910.10. Harmful open dead end pressures are eliminated.

Each muffler has a high airflow capacity to minimise back pressure restriction so as not to interfere with the operation of the cylinder, valve or other air-powered device. A reservoir for oil to accumulate at the bottom can be drained by attaching a ¼" tube. They are available in popular sizes from 1/8 to 1" NPT.
