The InfoWorks v 6.0 hydraulic modelling suite includes two new features - the Open Data Export Center and the 3D Viewer - that improve its flexibility of output and the handling of 3D images.
The Open Data Export Center offers a choice of formats for model outputs - MapInfo, ArcView, etc - to match the functionality of the existing Open Data Import Center.
The 3D Viewer enables any 3D image, whether an asset such as a manhole or a terrain model, to be examined from all perspectives.
In addition to the generic developments, there are a number of module-specific enhancements. For InfoWorks CS, overland flow can now be modelled easily from digital terrain models, a major step forward in this key area of understanding stormwater flows. In addition, the new function to create pipe profiles (long sections) automatically is highly beneficial to InfoWorks CS users.
InfoWorks WS, Critical Link Analysis, improved Fire Flow Analysis and a solver that runs simulations up to 10 times faster than before are other enhancements.
InfoWorks RS offers run-off models, including one specifically tailored for urban areas, raingauge objects and tools to automatically calculate catchment average rainfall, and improved calibration statistics.
