Campbell Scientific EC150 analyser and CSAT3A sonic anemometer

The EC150 in-situ open path analyser is designed for eddy covariance flux measurements. As a stand-alone analyser, it simultaneously measures absolute carbon dioxide and water vapour densities, air temperature and barometric pressure. With the optional CSAT3A sonic anemometer head, the device also measures three-dimensional wind speed and sonic air temperature.

Benefits include an optical layout that allows for a slim aerodynamic shape with minimal wind distortion and body heating; and measurements that are temperature compensated without active heat control. Other features include: co-located analyser and sonic anemometer measurement volumes; integrated analyser and sonic anemometer mounting; and analyser and sonic anemometer measurements temporally synchronised by a common set of electronics.

It has low power consumption, is suitable for solar power applications and is low noise. Tolerant to window contamination, the rugged device has angled windows to shed water and is field serviceable with easy access to chemical bottles.

It is also factory calibrated over a wide range of CO2, H2O, pressure and temperature in all combinations encountered.
