Renewable Recyclers is closing down
Social enterprise Renewable Recyclers has revealed that its parent organisation, RichmondPRA, has decided to cease operations of the Illawarra e-waste recycling business.
Renewable Recyclers referred to itself as an ‘above-ground miner’, offering a service which aimed at recovering the highest value in commodities. But the company has acknowledged that its business model required significant labour input and came at a cost, with its losses recently exacerbated by the declining commodity market.
