Registrations open for Business Clean Up Day
Business Clean Up Day will be held 24 February 2009. Last year, over 250 businesses helped Clean Up Australia by nominating sites and giving up a few hours of their time to clear rubbish.
Australians generate about 32 million tonnes of waste each year; that's about 1.5 tonnes from each person.
Almost half of our waste is recycled, but there is still 50% heading to landfill.
