As a contribution to a cleaner environment, real estate website has commenced replacing its company branded vehicles with the more environmentally friendly, hybrid-powered Toyota Prius. believes the move towards hybrid-powered cars will lower both emissions and fuel usage and subsequently reduce vehicle running costs. The Prius averages 2.2 L per 100 km fuel economy for city driving compared to the existing fleet at 8.8 L per 100 km fuel economy.

The high-tech hybrid engine is driven by a combination of battery and petrol to maximise efficiency and minimise fuel use. The Prius uses half as much fuel as a standard car of a similar size and emits up to 80% fewer emissions.

It is made using recycled and recyclable materials. The design minimises the number of components that need replacing in the event of a crash. Its safety features include dual air bags and an ABS breaking system. general manager, Shaun Di Gregorio said not only is the car environmentally sound, it also produces 3 tonnes less of greenhouse gas emissions per year.

This initiative is part of a broader plan in which is being encouraged to think about the footprint it leaves and to look for ways in which it can reduce the environmental impact of its business.
