The third round of the Tarac Environmental Future Fund (TEFF) has been launched in Adelaide during the Wine Industry Technical conference.

The fund allocates up to $20,000 to individuals, companies, organisations and associations for projects (more than one project can be funded in one year) that will provide environmental management and sustainability solutions for the wine industry.

The fund, which hopes to increase the body of knowledge about winery waste management within the Australian wine industry, is sponsored by Tarac Technologies and supported by: Australian Government, Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation; Winemakers' Federation of Australia; and South Australian Wine Industry Association.

Funding will be granted to applicants with unique and innovative proposals that can be rapidly implemented.

Applications will be assessed by a panel of technical experts from Tarac Technologies and other leading independent wine industry organisations.

Applications close Friday 12 October 2007.

The application form and guidelines for the fund is available on www.tarac.com.au/TEFF.asp and all enquiries should be directed to Dr Ira Pant, project manager environment & sustainability at irap@tarac.com.au/.
