Conference producers Communique Australasia have gathered leaders in corporate competitive sustainability from across Australia and the UK to examine how to boost organisational profit through sustainable development, over a 1.5 day conference.

The Competitive Sustainable Development Conference will provide guidance for delegates to reshape their organisations for a more sustainable future and maximise value and profit from changing opportunities.

Delegates will learn how to integrate sustainability strategies with their corporate strategic business; identify the business possibilities and challenges associated with sustainable development; explore successful sustainable strategy models from other businesses; develop sustainability reporting to measure and monitor sustainability developments in relation to stakeholders and partners; and how to adopt innovative sustainable product development initiatives to increase market share.

According to Communique managing director Malcolm Health, there has never been a more important time for Australian organisations to develop strategies for business sustainability.

"Achieving corporate sustainability is a challenge that is increasingly occupying the attention of CEOs, senior executive teams and key stakeholders in Australian organisations. The dynamics of these organisations are rapidly changing in complexity and sophistication, as issues concerning environmental impact, emissions, global expansion, staff and community wellbeing, and safety intertwine with profitability and economic performance," said Heath.

"Companies are realising that they have no choice but to innovate towards sustainability and we hope this conference will provide the guidance needed to help Australian companies on their sustainability journeys."
