Certified Profibus training courses in Sydney and Perth

The Australian Profibus Association will be hosting accredited Profibus training courses in Sydney and Perth in October 2007.

Two internationally recognised Profibus courses — Certified Installer course and the Certified Engineers course — will be conducted in Sydney and Perth by Andy Verwer, principal lecturer, Department of Engineering and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK.

The one-day Certified Profibus Installer course covers the layout, installation and testing of Profibus networks. It is suitable for all engineers and technicians involved in the planning and installation of Fieldbus networks. The course focuses on Profibus and no previous knowledge of Fieldbus systems is required. The course dates are: Sydney: 15 October 07 and Perth: 22 October 2007.

The three-and-a-half day Certified Profibus Engineers course covers Profibus Network design, commissioning and live fault-finding. It is suitable for engineers and technicians who already have a basic technical knowledge of Profibus or other Fieldbus systems. Completion of the Installer course, or similar accredited course, is a prerequisite.

The three-and-a-half day hands-on course covers the detailed theory of Profibus DP network operation. On the course participants will learn first-hand how to design, install and troubleshoot Profibus DP networks, how to use diagnostic tools to detect faults and identify their causes.

The course dates are: Sydney: 16 -19 October "˜07; and Perth: 23 "“ 26 "˜07. The venues are: Sydney: Stamford Grand, North Ryde and Perth: Crown Plaza, Perth.
