Vote now on Victoria's most loved building design
The Building Designers Association of Victoria (BDAV) is calling on the public to vote for their favourite building design in its 22nd BDAV Building Design Awards.
Since 1996, the BDAV Building Design Awards have promoted excellence in building design and encouraged higher standards of design excellence in Victoria. The awards celebrate Victoria’s best residential, interior, sustainable, heritage conservation and non-residential design projects including commercial, industrial, hospitality and public buildings.
BDAV President Lindsay Douglas now invites Victorians to participate in the People’s Choice Award, which allows the community to cast their vote for any one of the building projects nominated in the awards.
“We are continually blown away by the high standard of entries we receive across all our award categories,” said Douglas. “Our building design community use innovation and creativity to produce cutting-edge design spaces while keeping sustainability front of mind.”
Last year’s winner of the People’s Choice Award was luxury home The Kangaroo Ground Pavilion (pictured), designed by S L Building Designs. The single-storey masterpiece boasts picturesque views of Nillumbik’s rolling green hills. The minimalist but contemporary home was purchased by AFL footballer Travis Cloke last year.
Voting for the People’s Choice Award is now open at www.bdav.org.au and closes at midnight on Sunday, 23 July. The award will be presented at the BDAV Building Design Awards dinner on Saturday, 29 July at the National Gallery of Victoria.
